Becoming a Utility Warehouse partner – your questions answered

Being a UW partner gives you the chance to earn some extra cash each month in a flexible way to suit you and your lifestyle. You’re essentially being paid to help people save money on their regular bills!

But even if you’re just doing a few hours a week as a UW partner through True Savings, it’s understandable that you will have some questions to ask. Here, we try to answer some of the queries we come across most frequently; but do get in touch if anything else springs to mind.

  • What do you need to get going in the first instance?

The good news is – not much! Just fill out one straightforward application form. Then we’ll put you in touch with a mentor, so that you can make a start on your online training.

  • Is there a starter pack and what does it contain?

There is indeed a starter pack, containing everything you need to get cracking as a UW partner.

  • What type of support will be available?

After joining, partners receive quite a lot in the way of support. As well as the training, there’s a whole back office, plus you can promote your business from the outset via your own, customised and branded websites.

  • Is this just pyramid selling?

No, it really isn’t. While pyramid selling is illegal and involves being paid a proportion of the fee for those you sign up, network or word-of-mouth marketing is fully legal and regulated. Some universities even teach this discipline as an effective referral-based marketing method.

With us, you don’t get paid when others join; only when your customers use the services.

What’s more, parent company Telecom Plus Plc is listed on the London Stock Exchange (FTSE 250) and is therefore the subject of all the financial scrutiny of any PLC.

  • Will I need to buy any stock?

No, not at all. Head Office will send any equipment directly to our customer and handle billing and payments.

  • How many hours will I have to work each week?

The beauty of being a UW partner is that that’s entirely up to you! Like most of our partners, you’ll probably be starting off part-time. Dedicate an hour a week or per day as you’re able to. But aim to keep your eye on the longer term, and be consistent in whatever you decide to commit to.

  • Can I take a break if I need or want to?

You can indeed, whether that’s for personal reasons or anything else; you won’t be putting your business at risk. And any break can be as short or as long as you like. However, it’s worth being aware that if there are prolonged periods of inactivity,  you could potentially lose a percentage of your income.

  • Is this really about selling?

Yes and no! If you enjoy the thrill of the chase, there can be a sales element in the way you gather customers. If you’re not really in to selling, however, you can attract customers and build a team of UW partners in more organic ways.

  • What income can I realistically expect from doing this?

Many of our partners earn significant sums from partnership. As with most other things, a lot will depend on the effort and time you put into it. You have the chance to earn from your first day, and the Quick Income Plan (QUIP) means you can earn up to £350 for each customer (i.e. member you introduce.)

To retain the residual income on your customers’ spend, you should have at least three active customers who you introduced personally – this lasts while they continue to use the services.

So for flexibility and financial freedom, sign up today – but, as we’ve said, please be in touch if there’s anything else you’d like to ask us. We’ll be delighted to answer.
